Brody Smith is a 2025 OF/UT with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Lutheran South Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present strength to build with additional room to fill. Ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, does a nice job of working behind and coming through the baseball, fields it to the side, gathers with balance and incorporates lower half well into release, higher three-quarters release, works on top of throws with present carry. Hands play in the infield with a clean funnel while playing with energy, nice timing to actions and works through it, arm strength across diamond plays on throws, repeats actions. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and utilizes a gliding front foot trigger for timing in the box. Occasionally gets to front side early with weight shift but keeps hands back well, longer path through the zone while turning over the barrel with intent. Nice foundation to improve upon moving forward, has power that he'll continue to unlock moving forward, short finish through contact. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
