Alijah Merkson is a 2024 SS/OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Mesquite, TX who attends Forney. Slender young build with lots of room and time to fill out and get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall and narrow stance, upper body intensive swing, has some young hand quickness and showed an accurate barrel in the games, line drive contact to multiple fields and was timed up well. Good runner, 7.03 in the sixty, moves well defensively and has quick feet and soft hands, arm strength is still developing. Projectable athlete who played well in the games.
