Michael Murphy is a 2028 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Hazlet, NJ who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Murphy worked from a range of defensive spots over the course of the event, starting from the IF as a primary 3B where he displayed a consistent over the top slot to produce accurate throws across the diamond up to 68 mph. Expect footwork to refine and arm strength to continue developing as the '28 prospect physically matures. From the OF, Murphy displayed a super aggressive approach through the baseball, consistently putting throws around the bag up to 67 mph. He also worked off the mound, remaining balanced over the rubber well with further room to extend down the hill and add spin profile to the arsenal. Topped out at 70 mph. Offensively, the righty started from a wider slightly open stance with a high compact hand set and low back elbow, utilizing a toe tap trigger to produce line drive contact gap to gap. Murphy created some jump off the barrel when on time with barrel control expected to refine in the future. Ran a 8.07 sixty yard dash. Good student.
