Diego Perez is a 2026 MIF/OF/UT with a 5-8 132 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends City Of Hialeah Education Academy. Compact frame with lean build and some wiry strength with plenty of time to build more physicality. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.27 seconds. Primary position infielder, looking comfortable on the clay as he showed good footwork and understanding of angles. Ranging well to left and right, securing ball with clean glove action working into deeper funnel. Midline transfer to shorter arm slot with emerging strength creating throws up to 72 mph across the diamond. Right handed hitter, working from an open base using tight handset and simple move to launch. Hands work and there is some whip to the barrel showing solid bat speed. Will get a bit uphill sometimes but when on plane created nice backspin liners gap-to-gap. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
