Caleb Gipson is a 2023 3B/RHP, MIF with a 6-2 174 lb. frame from Columbia, SC who attends Dreher. Large frame with projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.08 seconds. Hits from open-based stance with short stride into contact, hands work on restricted inside-out path, pull-side approach with flatter plane swing overall. Worked out in the infield, short steps, waits back on ball a bit, stays directional in footwork through fielding, clocked up to 76 mph on throws across. Also pitched, worked from the stretch, compact arm stroke with simple delivery, straight fastball worked 73-76 mph, showed changeup as well. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
