Wells Hutson is a 2023 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Nashville, NC who attends Rocky Mount Academy. Lean younger build with lots of room and time for further physical development. 7.43 runner in the sixty, has easy athletic actions in the middle infield on defense, moves through the ball well with good footwork for his age, soft glove out front, very accurate thrower from multiple arm slots, polished defender at the ball whose arm strength will continue to improve. Right handed hitter, has a simple and repeatable stroke at the plate, high contact approach that he executes consistently, bat speed will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Also pitched, simpel side step delivery with a medium arm circle in back that hides the ball well, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot. Mid-70's fastball is thrown consistently for strikes, slurve type breaking ball works well down in the zone off his fastball, also threw a change up. Excellent student.
