Hunter Richardson is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-1 182 lb. frame from Vandalia, OH who attends Butler. Nice young athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Starts his delivery with a big gather step and fast high leg raise, full arm takeaway in back with a mid 3/4's arm slot coming through, upper body delivery with a fast and loose arm. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph early, gets some arm side running life and has good feel for throwing strikes with his fastball. Also throws a sweeping breaking ball and a change up and throws strikes with those as well. Deceptive mechanics with more velocity in his arm in the future. 7.09 runner in the sixty. Plays first base when not on the mound, moves well and has range along with good hands, plenty of arm strength for the position. Also worked out in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a short stride into contact, loose low tension swing with good extension through contact, gets the barrel out front for consistent pull side contact. Live young arm that will continue to develop. Good student, verbal commitment to Kentucky.
