2022 Midwest Indoor Showcase
Michael Carpenter is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Lisbon, WI who attends Arrowhead. Long and lean athletic build with good present strength and room for plenty more. Two-way prospect. Primary left handed pitcher, has a long and loose arm action and clean arm stroke coming through, good lower half drive to the plate, 3/4's arm slot, lands slightly closed out front with some cross body action on release, repeats his mechanics well. Mid-80's fastball with some running life. Both his curveball and change up were quality pitches, both tunneled well with full arm speed, curveball has big 2/8 sweeping life and a nice feel for landing the pitch for strikes. Projects in all areas on the mound. 6.85 runner in the sixty. Showed his arm strength and athleticism very well in the outfield, showed good body control and balance moving through the ball and a quick arm with carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger and a tight hand load, has some hand quickness and a short line drive swing, handled the barrel well. Very good athlete who will keep improving as he continues to mature physically. Good student. Named to the Midwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
