Sebastian Huerta is a 2022 C/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from New Braunfels, TX who attends New Braunfels HS. Sebastian is a solidly built, obviously strong, athlete. He appears to have a keen understanding of the game and a high baseball IQ. In addition to his noticeable talent on the field, Sebastian is also a solid student with a sound track record in the classroom. He ran a very respectable 7.35 60 yard dash which would put him in the plus average range for his age group. Considering he is a primary catcher, his 60 time is truly noteworthy. Sebastian shows solid skill with the gear on. He shows a low and relaxed profile at the ready. His easy movement to receive is consistent. His hands are soft and sure. Sebastian's game is made even better by his quick feet. He gains ground well and shows a quick trigger. His 75 mph throwing velocity allows for a very consistent and slightly above average,1.98 pop time. His throws are routinely on the base. At the plate, Sebastian shows a great ability to strike the ball with force. There is some glide to his stride. He keeps his hands back and triggers quickly on release. When his timing is on, he can drive the ball especially well up the middle and to the pull side. His swing path dictates that he should gain the ability to hit for some power as he gains further strength and higher level experience. Sebastian is a mature receiver with projectable ability behind the plate. His solid bat will further enhance his future in the game.
