Tyler Johnson is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Grand Junction, CO who attends Grand Junction. Medium build with lean levers and lots of room to add additional mass in the coming years. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fundamental foot work, gets the glove out early to approach, okay actions with the leather, works through it some with average accuracy and arm strength on throws. Secondary left-handed pitcher, leg lift to the waist, short stride and lands on line, medium length arm action to three-quarters slot, nice tempo with a lot of moving pieces in the delivery, developing feel to spin, sinks the fastball nicely. Took reps at first base, two hands out front with quick transfers, works around the bag nicely and can adjust to the hop, good turns and accuracy. Left-handed hitter, wider base with tight hands, barrel tip load with a hanging trigger, generates some leverage with torque and coil in the load, lofted stroke and has barrel speed, impacts it well when on time to the middle of the field and pull side, has some feel for it. Solid overall player in multiple facets for the age, should continue to develop and is already seeing jumps in the numbers. Good student.
