Jack Pheasant is a 2024 C/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Fountain Valley, CA who attends Sage Hill. Medium build with room to strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary catcher, sets up in a conventional crouch and will occasionally get out over his toes. Replaces feet well on his throws down to the second base bag. Lower slot on his throws. Posted a 2.12 second pop time in the catching workout. At the plate, uses a slightly open and upright stance with a lower handset and a simple stride trigger. Hands work direct to the baseball, pretty handsy foundation overall. Good feel for the barrel, at his best when hunting the inner half. Good student in the classroom as well.
