Cal Walsh is a 2021 MIF/3B, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Durango, CO who attends Durango. Recorded a 7.25 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame and lean build with a great chance to add additional strength. Primary middle infielder with soft hands and smooth glove work, shows present arm strength. Has the ability to make plays on the move and was good on the charge, can drop slot if needed. Made accurate throws at 85 mph across the diamond. Clean round overall with solid actions to project upon. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and even hand set. Utilizes a simple lift and replace trigger, glides into the swing. Very passive and low effort approach, flips the hands into contact. Showed a gap to gap approach and used all fields during his round. Will improve impact potential as he swings with higher intent and gets wider with his stance to engage the lower half. Good student.
