Robert McDonough is a 2022 RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Arlington, VA who attends Bishop O'Connell. Tall frame with a lean build and very projectable as he continues to fill out. A pitcher only, worked exclusively from the stretch compact during his leg lift with good drive down the mound as he rides the backside. Good extension from a 3/4 slot with some intent at release. Late sinking action on the fastball and worked down in the zone. Three pitch mix with a sweeping breaking ball that gets some two-plane break at times and matches his release with good arm speed on the change up. Overall makings of a very good repertoire, with plenty of upside remaining. Outstanding student.
