2023 Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Lenin Nuñez is a 2024 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 6-0 182 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Schoolhouse Preparatory. Medium, athletic build with present strength to the frame and more to project on. Good runner, ran a 6.78 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, athletic actions working around the baseball, smoothness to the hands, quick transfer and gets the ball out quickly with arm strength and accuracy. All the tools to stick on the left side, recorded throws up to 89 mph. Secondary outfielder, under control on the charge, fields it with one hand on the side of the frame, carries momentum through, full arm swing to a higher release. Big time arm strength with accuracy, comes out of the hand well with true flight, recorded throws up to 95 mph. Switch hitter, bat on the shoulder in the stance with a medium and even base, toe tap trigger, gets the barrel out front and impacts to pull from both sides. Great bat speed and functional operation in both swings with more power to project. Good student. Named to 2023 Fall Top Prospect National Showcase Top Prospect List.
