Kevin Gallagher is a 2028 RHP/2B, OF with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Nutley, NJ who attends Nutley. Young, narrow shouldered frame with a lean build and room to grow throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.09 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, starts operation on the first base side of the rubber, full wind up with hands staying close to mid-section, belt high leg lift at balance point. Shorter arm action through the backside, works to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, flashes late sinking life with occasional cut action. Worked around the zone well and pitches to contact, repeats operation; showed a curveball with 12-6 shape to keep hitters off balance and buried a couple of changeups up to 61 mph. Does a nice job of working through the ball, keeps throws low and works on top of ball well, throws show some carry with accuracy to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and slightly open stance with a lower back elbow in set up; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Pulls the hands in and shows present bat speed through the zone. Contact oriented approach with a feel for the barrel, will continue to develop with added strength but shows ability to control barrel through zone.
