Steven Graffeo is a 2023 C/3B, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Metairie, LA who attends Haynes Academy for Advance Studies. He ran a 8.37 second sixty. A primary catcher with a medium stocky build. Behind the plate he starts with a square stance, he does a nice job receiving the ball deep with firm hands into a quick transfer as he gains little ground into his throws, he works under the ball on his throws to second with developing arm strength recording a 2.11 second pop time. At the plate his right-handed swing starts with a wide base as he sits deep in his legs, he uses a hanging leg lift trigger before matching plane well with the pitch creating some pull side power, has the potential to create more consistent pop with a more consistent weight transfer into contact. Very good student.
