Daigan Venable is a 2025 2B/MIF/OF with a 5-5 155 lb. frame from Vidor, TX who attends Vidor. Short and compact build with some present strength Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow open stance and a short stride into contact, has a first front side to lever off of, fires his hands hard and gets the barrel into the zone quickly, short to the ball and long through it, surprising strength in his hands and the ball comes off the barrel hard to all fields. 6.85 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, moves well from side, plays low and gets into good position to field the ball, comfortable to the back hand, made all the plays. Also worked out in the outfield, arm worked better out on the grass as he got it lengthened out, works through the ball athletically. Type of athlete who can comfortably play at 5-6 positions around the field. Very solid overall fundamentals in all aspects as well. Very good student. Named to the Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
