Benjamin Loza is a 2023 SS/2B, 3B, OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Stockton, CA who attends Bear Creek HS. Benjamin is a solidly built, emerging athlete who has a sound skill set that will allow him to continue to grow his game. In addition to being a fundamentally sound talent on the diamond, Benjamin is also an exemplary student. He ran a 7.11 60 yard dash. A primary infielder, Benjamin's defensive game is highlighted by his plus arm. His 79 mph throwing velo is impressive and allows him to get his throws across the diamond with relative ease. His fielding action is consistent and his glove plays. His arm is a plus tool that should continue to get even better. At the plate, Benjamin employs a fairly direct path to contact. He shows a quicker load and trigger and has some feel for the barrel. The ball does jump when he squares it up. He shows the makings of producing some power as he matures. Benjamin has the right idea. His actions project. He just needs to keep grinding. Work the weights, get stronger and a bit quicker His game is there and is certain to get better with experience.
