Rey Gomez is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Immaculata-La Salle. Recorded a 7.94 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a physical frame and present strength. Begins from a staggered stance behind the plate and works into a quick and clean transfer. Used a short arm action and threw consistently accurate to the bag. Recorded a best pop time of 2.03. Also worked out in the infield and fielded the ball out front with two hands. Also threw accurately across the diamond. Right-handed hitter and starts from a balanced and even base. Uses a small leg lift forward and turns the barrel over well, working to elevate the ball. Showed a longer path with lift to the path out front. Used all fields during round. Excellent student.
