Samuel Pemberton is a 2024 C/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Granbury, TX who attends Cornerstone Christian Academy. Recorded a 7.49 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame and thick build. Primary catcher with a square set up, has some quickness out of the chute with developing flexibility/mobility in the lower half. Stiff/segmented actions, gains limited ground and tends to stand straight up to throw, will improve as he stays low throughout the process and carries his momentum forward. Secondary outfielder, fields it way off the side of his body, utilizes a small gather and gets it out quickly. Some sync to the actions, flashed good arm strength and carry out of the hand at 80 mph. Right-handed hitter with a slightly closed stance and a very low and deep hand set, utilizes a toe tap trigger. Vertical bat to start, has some bat speed and whip to the barrel, can elevate and impacted a couple deep into the outfield when staying on time and on plane. Has promising power/strength, will improve consistency as he further develops control for the barrel and repeatability within the swing. Excellent student.
