Tom Barnhart is a 2021 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Fulshear, TX who attends Fulshear. Tall and lean young athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 6.75 runner in the sixty. Played both the infield and outfield and graded out much higher in the outfield. Very athletic in the outfield with range and plus arm strength, actions in the infield are more measured and less natural. Left handed hitter, has a short hands drive swing with good hand quickness and strength, can use his lower half more to help drive his back speed, impacts the baseball hard when he stays back and is on time, gets nice carry to the middle of the field, has projection as a hitter. Also pitched, fast paced compact delivery that highlights his athleticism, long and fast arm stroke with good extension out front. Mid-80's fastball topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight. Showed good bite and feel on a 11/5 curveball that generated plenty of swing and miss. Good student. Named to the Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
