Hibiki Suzuki is a 2029 RHP/MIF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Cypress, CA. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step into a belt high leg lift, builds tempo well throughout operation with a clean stride coming down the mound; arm stroke remains on time and filled the strike zone. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with nice sinking life and can control it to the arm side. Competitive on the mound and mixes well; maintains arm speed/release on changeup with similar life to the fastball, plays off heater well and showed a curveball up to 63 mph with tight spin. Showed well both in the outfield and infield; solid lateral movement in actions and soft, easy hands with plenty of arm strength and accuracy to the intended base. Attacks it well in the infield, sound on the approach and athleticism plays nicely. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow at the plate with tight hands; utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing. Shows quickness to hands with a present feel for the barrel, nice components to swing that'll continue to develop with added strength. Can work to all fields, linear stroke through the zone, direct to the ball and repeats it well.
