JohnDavid Hidalgo is a 2025 RHP/IF/UT with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Broussard, LA who attends Catholic High of New Iberia. Physical build for his age with some present strength. Medium length arm action on the mound with good looseness and a 3/4's arm slot, smooth repeatable delivery mechanics, has good extension out front and good tempo to his delivery. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 76 mph, locates his fastball well and throws strikes, gets some running and sinking life at times. Mid-60's curveball was a solid pitch with some downer depth. Projects well on the mound as he matures. Right handed hitter, bent over spread stance costs him some leverage and big load costs him timing, swings hard with some bat speed, can improve with adjustments. 7.86 runner, moves his feet well on defense and shows dependable soft hands, makes accurate throws when his feet are set, third base tools. Good student.
