Braden Walsh is a 2024 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Howell, NJ who attends Howell. Young build with plenty of strength in his lower half. 5.35 runner in the forty. Third base look and actions on defense, has soft hands with some quickness at the ball, fields the ball cleanly and has a fluid glove to hand exchange, compact arm action, can get better directed in his lower half throwing. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a hanging front foot load, swings hard and has some young bat speed for a freshman, uses the hole field and a good feel for the barrel, good separation and extension out front. Also pitched, same compact arm action as in the field with a clean arm circle that hides the ball well, good balance and tempo to his delivery. Threw lots of strikes with a fastball that topped out at 78 mph, curveball had nice downer shape out of the same arm slot and release, has some skills to develop on the mound with continued work. Good student.
