Lucas Borges is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-3 120 lb. frame from Youngsville, LA who attends Ascension Episcopal School. Compact, medium frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 8.47 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary middle-infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used aggressive footwork into the fielding process, while displaying a clean funnel out in-front and a quick release. Showed some lateral range and produced accurate throws up to 71 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a crouched stance with a high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Whole field approach with compact, line drive stroke and some feel for the barrel. Does a nice job of adjusting from pitch-to-pitch and will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
