Kyle Phillips is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Ledgewood, NJ who attends Roxbury. Large frame and thick build. Primary right-handed pitcher with a clean arm path, comes from an over the top slot and has a lot to like about the frame. Utilizes a full wind up and belt high leg lift, fastball is fairly flat and he fills up the zone with it. Takes awhile to clear his backside at times, held his velocity throughout he outing and generated ground ball outs. Throws a curveball and a cutter, developing feel for his secondaries at present. Secondary first baseman with some feel for the position, fields the ball well and has an idea of the footwork. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and a high hand and back elbow set. Rotational approach with limited lower half shift, has a short launch and developing bat speed at present. Swings with good intent, stays on the backside and tries to lift at contact. Will improve impact potential as he gets stronger and utilizes his lower half more actively throughout the swing.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
