Tristan Stephenson is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Yardley, PA who attends Notre Dame. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from a full windup with a long and loose takeaway in back, high 3/4's arm slot, easy and fluid mechanics that really help his projection. Fastball sat in the mid-80's, lots more velocity there as he gets stronger, mostly straight at present. Has a feel for spinning the ball, 2500+ rpm spin rates on a slurve type breaking ball that has good depth and is thrown for strikes. Was very effective when sequencing his pitches. Very good bet to keep improving. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a hanging front leg load, gets to his front side well and blocks off effectively, has strength in his swing, works gap to gap. Good student, verbal commitment to Charleston Southern. Named to the Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
