Caleb Colon is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends St Marys. Medium athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.58 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, plays low to the ground and flows well through the ball, can get long in his gather, fast hands and will get snatchy at times, compact arm action that works well, makes accurate throws with good carry. Right handed hitter, starts from a medium stance with a big rock back load and big stride into contact, lots of pre-swing movement that creates inconsistency in his timing, mostly middle of the field contact. Also pitched, works from the stretch from a high 3/4's arm slot, fastball was in the mid-70's and topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight. Slider was his best pitch once he got comfortable with it, gets some sharp biting action on it with some tilt as well. Good student.
