Arthur Chavez is a 2025 C/3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Colton, CA who attends Redlands East Valley. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, quick transfer into a deeper arm path, quickness to arm with a higher release point, can gain additional ground with lower half coming out of the crouch, shows accuracy on throws to second base with present arm strength. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high and tight hand set, spread base with a simple stride moving into contact. Longer swing path through the zone with extension out front, works the gaps nad shows some present impact when squared and on time. Hands work in swing, shows comfort working to all fields with balance through finish. Very good student.
