Brock Cross is a 2025 RHP/C/IF/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Lake Havasu City, AZ who attends Lake Havasu High School. Posted a 7.63 in the 60 yard dash. Primary pitcher, the right-hander was up to 81 mph with the firm fastball that filled up the zone quick. Repeatable actions showing a confident feel for his mechanics. The projectable body fits the part on the mound and showed good athleticism across his tools. He flashed a tight breaking ball with 11/5 bite. The delivery is clean and gets great extension to the plate, the ball gets on hitters quick disrupting some timing and hands. Very effective outing and an early presence on the hill. With added strength to his tools his future on the bump has a chance to be an advanced. At catcher, he is a good athlete behind the dish with time to get his legs under him and engage some short burst and agility. The hands work smooth to transfer, not much motor here but the footwork and awareness are there and moves very well. Right handed hitter with squared shoulders starts with an open stance and works short to the ball. Young tendencies in the swing, showing a lot of hands throughout the one piece mechanics. Has plenty of time to polish some fundamentals and continue to add strength and looseness to his hitting tools. Great display of present feel for the mound, clearly where he is most comfortable to perform using the good body flashing maturing mechanics that show some promise as he progresses. Named a 2021 Southwest Showcase Top Prospect.
