Aaron Wu is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Short Hills, NJ who attends The Pingry. Medium, compact build with plenty of room and time to add more strength. Primary shortstop, attacks the baseball with urgency and moves well through it. Has plenty of lateral range to both sides with softness in the hands. Stands up a bit and takes an extra step during the transfer phase. Releases the baseball from a lower slot. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph across the diamond. Utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing before working into a line drive stroke. Keeps his hands inside the baseball and delivers the barrel on-time. Produced consistent contact to the middle of the field during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 7.34 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Uncommitted Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
