Laird Williams is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-7 255 lb. frame from Edmond, OK who attends Edmond Memorial. Extra large and durable build. Primary right-handed pitcher, small side step into a belt high leg lift out of the windup, drop and drive mechanics with an upright finish. Has obvious arm speed and the arm works well to a high three-quarters slot. Gets on top of the fastball and generates some carry at the top of the zone, up to 89 mph (2225 RPM) and sat comfortably in the mid-80s. Changeup was the most consistent off-speed, showing nice fading action, up to 78 mph (1895 RPM). Also showed a curveball with 11-5 shape, up to 75 mph (2230 RPM). Creates plenty of angle from the slot and worked the corners nicely with quality three pitch mix. Good student.
