2025 PG Michigan Indoor Showcase
Kanaan Taylor is a 2026 1B/RHP with a 5-11 194 lb. frame from Brownstown, MI who attends University Liggett. A bigger frame with present strength and room to keep adding to the build moving forward. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman on defense, fielding it up the middle with some snatch to the hands, shuffling into throws. Longer arm action from a low slot, producing slingy throws with accuracy to the bag at second. Displayed a feel for the bag and solid footwork. Also worked out as an outfielder, showing a longer arm action with a high slot release and a big crow hop, with throws that carried well. Left-handed hitter with an open stance, bent knees, and a preset lower half. Worked into a leg lift trigger, showing strength at impact. Heavy barrel and worked well through the middle and pull side. Showed the ability to impact the ball with authority, producing loud contact throughout his round. Also pitched right-handed, working from a mid-three-quarters slot with a compact delivery. The fastball topped at 83 mph, mixing in a breaking ball at 73 mph with a slurvy shape. Named to the Top Prospect List at the 2025 PG Michigan Indoor Showcase.
