2021 California Workout Camp Session 6
Logan Escoto is a 2025 C/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-11 152 lb. frame from Ontario, CA who attends Undecided. He ran a 7.44 second sixty. A primary catcher an average build. Behind the plate receives the baseball out front before gaining ground into his throws while staying low, the arm action is shorter in the back with a longer release and average carry on his throws with a 2.12 second pop time. In the outfield he fields the ball out front with two hands and struggles to carry the momentum into his throws with a longer arm action and developing arm speed. On the mound he starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift, the arm action is shorter with some looseness in the back, the fastball sat 70-72 mph mostly to the arm side and at the bottom on the zone. The curveball showed slurvy actions landing in the zone a good bit, the changeup is straighter with okay arm speed and repeats well from the same simple mechanics. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base and drifts the hands back into the load, the barrel work to the inside part of the barrel impacting it mostly to the opposite field, he showed young lower half mechanics and will impact the baseball with more intent as the lower half gets more involved. Good student.
