Hogan Overby is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Oxford, MS who attends Oxford. Lean young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.83 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, is light on his feet and has quick actions, attacks the ball well, clean funnel and glove actions, has some arm strength with good looseness and some projection. Left handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and open stance with a big leg raise trigger, compact and level swing, gets the barrel into the zone on time, mostly pull side contact with some back spin, ability to repeat stood out, lots of projection as a hitter as he gets stronger. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a compact delivery with a 3/4's arm stroke, gets over his front side well. Fastball was in the mid-70's and mostly straight. Slider was his best pitch with some tightness and sweeping depth. Good student.
