2025 PG Virginia Indoor Showcase
Sam Light is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Norfolk Academy. Recorded a 4.25 second thirty yard dash time. Small stocky build. Primary right-handed pitcher starts from a hybrid windup from the middle of the rubber. Comes set with inwardly turned front foot and starts hands at the stomach and then raises them to the chest before breaking into a deep in-line arm path. Abbreviated leg lift just below the belt. Works down the mound very consistently and finishes through the front side well. Repeats well and pounded the strike zone. Fastball (1965 RPM) up to 83 with heavy sinking action with a small tight slider (2040 RPM) in the mid-70s with mostly late, vertical shape. Works fast and keeps hitters off-balance. Exciting player with a high ceiling as the velocity increases. Excellent student. Named to the 2025 Virginia Indoor Showcase Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
