James Brooks is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Guyton, GA who attends South Effingham. Recorded a 8.42 second 60-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a medium frame and lean athletic build. Solid actions moving around with good hands to both sides on the dirt. Quick release on throws with funnel out front. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a full arm swing to a 3/4 arm slot release down the slope. Fastball up to 78 mph (2051 RPM) and curveball with slurve action at 67 mph (1941 RPM). Flashed a changeup with tumbling action at 67 mph (1589 RPM). Right-handed hitter with an even base and toe-tap trigger. Some rhythm in the swing with strength out front. Performed better during game action with multiple hard hit balls. Excellent student. Named to the 13U/14U Fall Georgia Showcase Top Prospect List.
