Chester Boynton is a 2023 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Concord, MA who attends Middlesex. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.33 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, waits back on the ball but works low behind it, fields out front, sound funnels into a quick transfer, moved well on the charge play, showed carry on throws when working on top of the ball. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and slightly open stance; gets spread through lower half moving into contact. Full swing path through the zone and creates some extension out front, showed comfort working to the middle of the field on a mostly linear plane while showing a handle for the barrel, projects with added strength moving forward. Very good student.
