Smith “SMITTY” Washington IV is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Lake Country Christian. Primary RHP with an uber athletic frame and evident strength. Smooth delivery to the plate with good repeatable actions. Gets to the leg raise slow and in control above the belt while coiling the front leg a bit causing some deception. Explodes downhill and in line quickly from the raise and stays firm on the front side with good drive off his back leg. Ball comes out free and easy getting arm extension downhill throwing from a high 3/4 slot with a full arm swing behind the back with cleaner arm action. Fastball up to 92 and settle 87-89 mainly with excellent life through the zone. Ball really jumps out of the hand. Went to a slider that he could bury and get chases for misses with good sweep up to 76. Also mixed in a curve with 11-5 shape and good depth and could drop it in at times. Highly projectable off the bump. Also played outfield and was up to 85 with quick feet fielding it out front cleanly. Ran a 7.00 sixty. Right-handed hitter with an even base. Uses a big knee lift into contact for timing and rhythm. Works the middle of the field well with bat speed. Could get on plane more consistently for better results but can impact it when on the barrel. Good Student. Named to the TP List.
