Lanston Kent is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Saltillo, MS who attends Saltillo. Kent showed some speed on his sixty yard dash as he ran a 7.08. Primary Middle infield with a lengthy athletic frame with room for additional strength going forward. Kent showed a quick step laterally presenting the glove early catching the ball cleanly out in front. Working a straight over the top arm action with some cary and accuracy across the diamond. On the mound the operation is very athletic repeating his movements well with some ease throughout. Kent mixes in a low 80s fastball with late arm side run along with a tight 12-6 breaking ball he is able to land for Ks as well as a CH with late fade for swing and misses. Right handed hitter in the box with a medium even foot base. The barrel is quick through the zone as he has the ability to create the impact out in front and drive the ball deep to the pull side. Lanston was named to the 2024 Deep South All State Games Top Prospect List.
