Nicholas Macias is a 2026 C/2B, SS, IF, OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Newnan, GA who attends Northgate. Medium frame with a sturdy build showing strength throughout the frame. Ran a 8.76 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting very low in his stance as he proved to be comfortable in his legs. Reaching for the baseball at times. Quickly gains ground on throw downs as he transfers below the belt. Lower slot release and was accurate to the bag as he recorded a pop time of 2.61 seconds. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, drop and drive type mechanics as he went right after hitters. Online to target as he was repeatable in his actions. Gets around the fastball a bit and creates cut as he was up to 65 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, starting narrow and upright in the stance. Double toe tap to stride as he works into separation. Lands opened up as he throws the bat head into the zone. Looked to pull the baseball when possible. Proved to have some pop in the bat when he timed it up. Outstanding Student.
