Ramel Jones is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-5 126 lb. frame from Hedgesville, WV who attends St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School. Young athlete with solid overall athleticism, lean muscle mass and the type of frame to build on in the coming years. Primary position OF, with some hop to his step. Gets to ball in good position and works the glove out front nicely. Very full, long arm action with emerging strength that built throws up to 69 mph on accurate feeds back to the bags. Confident mechanics and good foundation here. Secondary LHP, using the full windup and bigger step to side to transition to balance with abbreviated leg lift. Gets into backside early to work down the slope and carries hands away from torso, breaking at the letters into deep arm path. High 3/4 arm angle producing FB up to 67 mph that stays true in the zone. Good competitor. LHH starting even and upright with good handset and quiet overall mechanical operation. Hands stay inside the ball and once the strength comes on will pepper the gaps with low-line drives. Has solid feel for the barrel. Young player who shows ability with the stick and on the mound.
