Dante Saladino is a 2026 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Seattle, WA who attends John F Kennedy Catholic. Long, lanky frame with a high waist and plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.07 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with solid defensive skill set and plenty of present arm strength. Incorporates long stride to field slightly off to the side and transitions rather smoothly despite length. Maintains some momentum into release, works uphill into an over-the-top arm slot and recorded arm strength up to 85 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with deliberate pace, a belt high leg lift and shorter stride out to foot strike. Showcased developing command of the strike throughout, fastball worked in the 75-80 mph range for most of his outing and topped out at 82 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in developing breaking ball that varied in shape and flashed promise when thrown with conviction. Frame projects for more strength, which will allow for additional velocity down the road. Will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically and physical maturity. Took part in the outfield portion of the of the defensive workout as well, where he showed deliberate footwork into the fielding process, a slight waist bend to field and arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with pre-set flatter hand start, high back elbow and small stride out to contact. Rotational swing mechanics with elongated, flatter swing path and developing feel for the barrel. Turns the barrel over quickly and keeps his hands inside the baseball well. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments, more lower half engagement and additional strength. Excellent Student.
