Braeden Winningham is a 2025 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-11 183 lb. frame from Conway, AR who attends Bigelow. Shows a good build with plenty of time to put some moving pieces together in the field. Primary outfielder flashed solid present strength and covered good ground playing downhill. Approach is tall and has to recover playing through the ball causing some late glove actions that fields on top of the ball. Makes the gather and transfer work when he fields clean. Posted some elevated throws when he fall off-target and leaves the arm behind. Has some field awareness and footwork to develop as he progresses. In the infield he showed some young tendencies but plays hard. He had short strides to the ball not generating much from the lower half through the play. Makes the glove work, gets tall to throw but has some feel changing arm slots. Also pitched, looks like a new developing skill set for the right hander that shows some good upside using some length in his delivery. Primarily worked out of the stretch releasing at a high 3/4 slot and stuck only with the fastball that worked up to 73 mph. When his operation is under control he can fill the zone with good downhill life. Right handed hitter, starts with an open set up and high hands. Looked to lift the ball, sprayed some contact showing his best connection to the pull side. Short swing to the ball that cuts off some barrel path. Sees ball and attacks for now, will learn some repeatable actions that will get the most out the strong hands. Great student.
