Ashton Donovan is a 2027 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-10 230 lb. frame from Locust Grove, GA who attends Skipstone Academy. Medium, physical frame. Ran a 8.82 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter, even base with high hands and back elbow, short stride out into contact with some strength coming off the barrel. Works to keep the hands inside the baseball and hit the ball to the other way consistently throughout the round. Primary first baseman, limited range to either side, glove works out front with a two hand funnel, fundamentally sound footwork around the bag. Turns gloveside and had accuracy around the bag with developing arm strength, recorded throws up to 69 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, deep arm path in the back to a high three-quarters slot, medium leg lift and works down the mound with a short stride. Sat in the mid-60s, topping at 68 mph (1493 RPM) and was in the zone a bunch. Showed a curveball with depth, up to 56 mph (2080 RPM). Good student.
