Austin Fritz is a 2028 RHP/MIF with a 5-8 148 lb. frame from Wexford, PA who attends Sewickley Academy. Recorded a 7.35 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with room to fill. Primary right-handed pitcher works from a hybrid windup from the middle of the rubber. Small step in front to a chest-high leg lift with a quick overall cadence. High to low back to high hands breaking at the chest. Works into a deeper, slightly off-line arm path and accelerates through an over-the-top arm angle. Repeats well and stays around the plate. Fastball (1749 RPM) with some run. that he located well to the glove-side. Rolling curveball (1717 RPM) with vertical shape that he could throw for strikes. Flashed a change-up (1648 RPM) with fade. Secondary middle infielder with some quick, choppy feet. Presents the glove well out front with some lateral range and smoother hands that made all the plays. Solid arm with some quickness that was accurate. Right-handed hitter starts from a wider base with a closed stance and a low back elbow with a low hand set, utilizes a small leg lift trigger. Flat bat plane with an opposite field approach. Intriguing player with good upside. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
