Collin Spore is a 2024 OF/ with a 5-11 176 lb. frame from Center Point, IA who attends Center Point-Urbana. Recorded a 7.38 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame with a long and lean build. Primary outfielder with a passive and methodical approach to the ball, breaks down and fields it with two hands. Some stiffness to the arm, made accurate throws at 68 mph. Developing outfield actions, footwork is more suited for the infield at present. Will improve as he attacks the ball and moves through it, carrying his momentum towards the target. Left-handed hitter with an exaggerated wide spread stance and high back elbow set, utilizes a no stride trigger. Tends to lock out the lower half due to the wide base. Struggles to create any momentum or weight shift at times, will improve impact potential as he allows room for the hips to come through. Developing feel for the barrel and hand path, has a good chance to improve as he fixes some mechanical issues and gets more comfortable with his timing. Good student.
