Ian Smith is a 2027 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Harahan, LA who attends Archbishop Rummel. Recorded a 7.81 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a wiry and athletic frame. Showed good footwork and fundamentals in the infield with lots of intent to actions. Displayed quickness to feet and had a clean round, showing solid arm strength and accuracy. Right-handed hitter and starts from a narrow base with even feet. Swings to do damage and turns the barrel over with good bat speed. Smooth bat path with fluidity when parts are synced. Sprayed line drives to the middle and opposite field with comfort. Projects well with the glove and bat.
