Caden Mackey is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Southlake, TX who attends Southlake Carroll. Slender high waisted athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Throws from a low 3/4's arm slot with a closed cross body release point out front, very deceptive and tough angle especially for left handed hitters, hides the ball well in back for added deception. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with big flat running life, velocity definitely plays up, fastball is very difficult to barrel up when it's in the strike zone. Also threw a soft curveball with occasional 1/7 depth that can be tightened up, may have a slider in the future. Developing change up as a third pitch right now. Interesting overall package, fastball could become a dominant pitch.
