Erik Lopez is a 2028 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Sun City, AZ. Features a medium-sized build with some early strength/physicality. Ran a 7.61 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed fundamental actions. Works low to the ball while creating good momentum early in his approach and into reception where he fielded most of them clean and out front. Exhibited solid arm strength where he made on-line and accurate throws to the bag. At the plate, he sits in a balanced stance and uses a smaller leg lift trigger. Smaller takeback of the hands into a strong launch. Turns the barrel on a slight uphill path through the zone. Noticeable above avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Some inconsistent timing throughout his BP round but still produced barrels to all fields with some sneaky impact to the pullside. On the mound, showed competitiveness, pitchability, and a repeatable uptempo delivery. Works exclusively from the stretch and gets into a decent lower half sit. Lands on-line with an avg. length stride and a decent block. Uses a clean/compact circle in the back that works up to a higher 3/4 slot. Present armspeed that ran the FB up to 80. Mixed in a CH that he can really turn over on showing quality depth and fade. Also threw in an upper 60s slurvy breaker that he could land for strikes. Was named to the Top Prospects List.
